The Pioneer Apple Fest in New Tripoli once again had some rain - but hey - that’s what apples need to grow!

Pioneer Apple Fest - October 7, 2023
Hey everyone, it’s that time of year again. The Pioneer Apple Fest at Ontelaunee Park in New Tripoli is Saturday, the 7th.
The Fest is open 10-4 Saturday and we’ll be running Live Steam and whatever other Reading rolling stock we can squeeze in the the truck to get up there.
Additionally, you can check out the ride on train Craig has been restoring and see the new switch and trackage installed in the past few weeks.
And, I think Tanner will be bringing his Speeder up for display.
Don’t forget all the arts, crafts, tractors, good food and free ice cream!

WE’RE BACK!!
LVGR is back for 2022 at the America on Wheels Museum in Allentown (Hamilton and Front Sts) between Thanksgiving and New Years.

For the first time in 3 years LVGR will be back at the Lynn-Heidelberg Historical Society’s Pioneer Apple Fest at Ontelaunee Park in New Tripoli.

Two loops on the platform; one for live steam and the other for track/battery power.
We’ll run Saturday from 10am until 4:30pm.

Lehigh Valley Garden Railroaders finished our holiday train display today in preparation for the annual train extravaganza at America on Wheels in Allentown (They ARE OPEN during the Front and Linden Streets road closures due to construction. Just follow the sign through the cones to get to America On Wheels Museum parking lot.)
For returning fans, be prepared for an entirely new set up this year. THREE levels! Monster truck jam. CARS vehicles watching CARS movies at a Drive-In. Harry Potter fighting a dragon while his Ford Anglia teeters overhead in a tree. Batman. Ghostbusters. A school on fire. Plus so much more!
We join displays by HO & O Gauge modelers, as well as an appearance by Thomas! Be sure to see all four layouts, as you also admire cars, trucks, bikes and more in this unique museum.
The Trains will Arrive at AOW the Day After Thanksgiving 2021
We’re back! Lehigh Valley Garden Railroaders will be back in the upstairs “Long Haul” room with another fantastic G Scale railroad display.
We are planning a special treat for the eye this year, so kids - bring your parents, your grandparents, and YES - even your brothers and sisters.

Pioneer Apple Festival at Ontelaunee Park - Oct. 5, 2019
Pioneer Apple Festival at Ontelaunee Park was held Oct. 5, sponsored by the Lynn/Heidelberg Historical Society.
We were located right next to the old New Tripoli train station
On a gorgeous day, a great time was held by all, as we ran live steam for the admiring crowds.
The old/new hand car was on display as well for rail fans.
LVGR member, Craig Weaver, has been a driving force behind the restoration of the old train which ran in the park in the early 20th Century.

Ok, it's that time for the Home Show and Flower Show. This is the first time we are doing the Home Show. We have a 30x40 space in the annex next to the rear rollup doors so it should be easy for loading and unloading. We will setup for the Home Show and stay setup for the Flower Show the next weekend, I hope we can get help so mark your calendars. Here is the info:

Enjoy the sounds, lights and action of many model trains stationed around the Museum’s Galleries.
Fun for Children and adults of all ages. America On Wheels Museum is a TOYS for TOTS drop-off site. Bring a new, unwrapped toy and it will be placed on the special truck for delivery to CHILDREN in NEED.

Allentown Fair 2017
2017 Allentown Fair- The club sets up a display each year at "The Great Allentown Fair." As usual we start with a floor, add felt, track, wiring, buildings, roads, pond and waterfall, cars and TRAINS! After days of prep we have a wonderful display for you to enjoy! We're located at the far end of the Farmer's Market Building - next to the Ritz - under the grandstand. Come and visit us!
