2017 Holiday Train Display

November 24 through December 30, 2017
At America on Wheels Museum located at Hamilton and Front Streets in Allentown.

Enjoy the sounds, lights and action of many model trains stationed around the Museum’s Galleries.

Fun for Children and adults of all ages. America On Wheels Museum is a TOYS for TOTS drop-off site. Bring a new, unwrapped toy and it will be placed on the special truck for delivery to CHILDREN in NEED.

Well hard to believe that it is time for AOW again! But here it is. This year all the stuff is already on the elevator at AOW! We moved everything after the home show last week so it should not take long to move things to the room if we have enough people to help. Here is the info.

Sat Jan 20 - we'll move all boxes from AOW display hall to elevator room

Tuesday Feb 27, we will load the truck at  as we get ready for the Home and Flowers Shows

Home Show 2017

Well it's that time again for the LEHIGH VALLEY HOME SHOW at Ag HALL in the fairgrounds. We will rent a truck to move the stuff.  Barry will pick up the truck and meet everyone at the storage area WED 10/25 @ 10AM and load everything up. We will load all the AOW stuff as well.

Wed Oct 25th 10am (MEET AT STORAGE AREA), 
Thu Oct 26th10am - 2pm; 
Fri Oct 10th10am - 2pm

SHOW:
SAT 10/28 10 am - 6 pm
SUN 10/29 10 am - 5 pm

TEARDOWN:
SUN 10/29 5 pm - ? (LOAD TRUCK)

AOW UNLOADING:
TUE 10/31: 11 am (time changed)

Death of Barb's husband, David Miklean

Very,Very sad news! Barbara Karkutt's husband David Miklean passed away last evening (Saturday September 2, 2017.) David had undergone open heart surgery several months ago and was waging a battle to recover. Our prayers and thoughts are with Barbara and David.

Her obituary:

Donna L. Prisnock, of Jefferson Twp., Berks Co., and formerly of Perkasie, Pa., passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Reading Hospital, West Reading, Pa. She was 58.

She was the wife of David L. Prisnock. The couple had their first date on December 14, 1984, and were joined in marriage on December 14, 2000.

Born in Philadelphia, Pa., she was the daughter of Nelson F. and Barbara (Collins) Hollenbach, of Perkasie. She was a 1977 graduate of Pennridge High School, Perkasie.

A Licensed Practical Nurse, Mrs. Prisnock was employed by Lincare, Reading, Pa., for many years until 2010. Previously, she worked for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa.

An avid reader and gardener, she was particularly fond of animals and the outdoors. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving, with her husband and parents, are a son, James G. Parsons and his wife, Victoria, of Arlington, Va.; a daughter, Faith P. Dieffenbach and her husband, Justin, of Sellersville, Pa.; three grandchildren: Austin, Landon and Brennan Dieffenbach; and two brothers, Dennis Hollenbach and his wife, Anita, of Perkasie, Pa. and Dwayne Hollenbach and his wife, Emily, of Pleasant Grove, Utah.

Her Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 2, 2017, at the Perkasie Owls Club Grove, 602 Elm Avenue, Perkasie, where family and friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harley's Haven Animal Rescue, 1419 N. Ridge Road, Perkasie, PA 18944.
