October 2013 - Allentown Home Show

It's time again for the ALLENTOWN HOME SHOW at AG hall at the ALLENTOWN FAIRGROUNDS!  This is a small show but is nice because it get's the word out on our club and for the upcoming AOW show. We usually get a good turnout.

Here is the info:

DATES:  SATURDAY 10/26 11am - 6pm  &  SUNDAY 10/27   11am - 5pm

SETUP:  FRIDAY 10/25 10am - ?

TEARDOWN:  SUNDAY (AFTER SHOW) 5pm - ?

The layout will consist of Bill Golds wonderful module (10'x16') and 2 lower running tracks. It should not take that long to setup. The area is 20'x30' We will be located in the new section of the hall so come around the rear of the building and go to the 2nd large garage door at the rear (end of bldg) we will be rite there.

Hope to see everyone there. Please let Barry know if you plan to attend.

 

2013 Allentown Fair

Once again the Lehigh Valley Garden Railroaders have a small "sample" display of Garden Trains at the Allentown Fair on Chew Street in Allentown

Tuesday August 27 - Monday September 2 

11:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily

Look for our display and talk to us about this great hobby!

2013 Flower Show Wrap Up

Well the FLOWER SHOW is over and it was a very successful show (AGAIN, as usual!). The people loved it! The Flower show people also loved us. In fact, they gave us a beautiful plaque for our participation. I have attached a picture of the plaque for your viewing enjoyment. Please look at it.

Our display was absolutly beautiful!! There were many trains running and Mary Diehm (Dick Diehm's wife) donated many beautiful plants and flowers from Dan Schantz greenhouse.

Valley Flower, Garden and Pool Show - March 8, 9, 10 →

     Lehigh Valley Garden Railroaders will once again being setting up a display at the Valley Flower Show - ( www.valleyflowershow.com/ ) at Agricultural Hall at the Allentown Fairgrounds on Chew Street. This years dates are Friday March 8 through Sunday March 10. Set up will begin on March 5th.

Please come to the rear of the Ag Hall building. We are at the first roll-up door.

SETUP:
Tuesday 3/5 (12:00 - 5:00pm)
Wednesday 3/6 (10:00am - 5:00pm)
Thursday 3/7 (10:00 8:00pm) (if necessaty)

SHOW:
Friday, March 8th       10:00am – 8:00pm
Saturday, March 9th  10:00am – 8:00pm
Sunday, March 10th   10:00am – 5:00pm 

TEARDOWN:
Sunday, March 10 4:00 - whenever (should not take long)
