Lehigh Valley Garden Railroaders
LVGR has been active in the Lehigh Valley (Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton and vicinity) area for many years and until recently gathered under our former name, "Lehigh Valley Large Scalers." We changed the name a few years ago to make it clear that we are a model railroad club, and that primarily our interests lie in Garden Railroading.
Interest in our hobby has grown over the past few decades to the point where there are are more manufacturers and dealers. A quick search on the internet for Garden Railroads or G Scale Trains will lead to a multitude of listings. Track, locomotives, rolling stock, buildings, and scenery is readily available.
If you are just thinking about getting started, are an accomplished hobbyist, or somewhere in between, you are welcome to join us as we work together to have fun and share our enthusiasm for the rails.
You don't have to operate a Garden Railroad to be a member of LVGR. All you need is an interest in large scale model railroad fun! For a minimal ($10) annual dues, and a willingness to assist at displays as your schedule permits, you are invited to join us.
We hold occasional meetings to discuss matters or concern and future shows. Meetings might be held the the America on Wheels museum on Front Street in Allentown, or even during an open house at a member's home.
